The Barbra Streisand Scrapbook by Allison Waldman. Great collection of rare photos and facts about Streisand's career by former publisher of The Barbrafile. |
The Barbra Streisand Companion: A Guide to Her Vocal Style and Repertoire More of a technical book about Barbra's singing and phrasing, author Linda Pohly also includes a discography. It's an expensive book, but an interesting one. |
Barbra Streisand: The Woman, The Myth, The Music Shaun Considine's book was notable because he offered an insider's view of Columbia Records, where he used to work. The 1986 paperback version is best to have: it contains Considine's updated material. The original hardcover, however, contains some great, rare photos—some of which were not duplicated in the paperback. |
