“Hello Dolly”
(1969 20th Century-Fox Open-Ended Radio Interview)

label of HELLO DOLLY interview album

Streisand was recorded answering questions about her role as Dolly Levi in the 20th Century-Fox production of Jerry Herman's musical, Hello, Dolly! [see Barbra Archives' page on the Hello Dolly movie here...]. The radio special also featured short interviews with Dolly's principle cast and crew, including Michael Crawford, Louis Armstrong, Walter Matthau, Gene Kelly, and Irene Sharaff.

Below is a reproduction of the radio script that was included with the vinyl LP (#1269-USA) and sent to radio stations. The radio DJ would read the “ANNCR” part, then play Streisand's pre-recorded answers on air. The script provided Streisand's opening and closing line of the answer.
