Wednesday, 02-Nov-2005 8:51 PM

A new interview with Barbra airs 11/3 and 11/4.

Make sure to watch a 2-part interview with Barbra on the syndicated entertainment show, Extra. Here are some quotes from the interview:

  • On the pressures of plastic surgery in Hollywood: "I really do need my eyes done, I must say. They're hanging down. I'd do the minimum I could possibly get away with."
  • On political overtones in her song, "Stranger in a Strange Land," she comments, "It's really about supporting our troops who are fighting in my opinion a senseless war."
  • About her guilty pleasures, "Eating bialys...it's an onion bagel. I love ice cream. I like good food, I love to eat..."
  • On meeting husband James Brolin: "I saw a guy with his head shaved off, no beard. I just said hello and then disappeared until I had to sit down next to him at dinner." Her longtime assistant was on hand to take her home, but Brolin offered to take her instead. Streisand says, "I hadn't had a man say that to me, 'I'm taking you home.' I really liked that."
