Columbia/Legacy Releases Reformatted 'Collection'

Since its inception, the acclaimed ‘3 Pak’ series has sold several million units, invigorating catalog sales from a host of superstar artists, including Streisand. The 2004 retooling of the line as “THE COLLECTION” series of 3 Paks, featuring all-new artwork with iconic artist photos and/or logo treatments, made a major splash at retail and has already sold over half a million units! Now, based on demand from retailers for an alternate bin-friendly format, Columbia/Legacy is re-launching the series in an elegant cube-shaped slipcase package that uses the striking COLLECTION art introduced last year on the custom longboxes. This packaging design will not replace the 5 x 10 custom longboxes, but will be an additional option for retail depending on each outlet’s needs.

BARBRA STREISAND: The Collection Features the albums: Funny Girl, The Way We Were, A Star Is Born. There are no bonus tracks or anything new about this collection; only the packaging is different.
