Warner/Rhino Home Video to Release Individual TV Show DVDs ... More TV Shows Due by End of 2006

Warner will release "My Name is Barbra", "Color Me Barbra" and "The Belle of 14th Street" as individual DVD titles (i.e. not part of their original box set) with new cover art on 7/25/2006 for $19.99 per Disc.

"Happening in Central Park" and "Other Musical Instruments" are due individually on 8/29/06.

• Each DVD contains a collector's poster.

* More Streisand DVDs are due from Warner/Rhino Home video by year's end.

Barbra's first five television specials were released on DVD by Warner/Rhino Home Video on November 22, 2005 as a box set (see photo, above, of box cover art).

 

Make sure you check out manager Marty Erlichman in his cameo when Barbra "feels the cleansing power" of the washing machine.

According to Rhino Home Video:

The packaging is suitably extraordinary -- including super deluxe collared box with a die-cut window, 10-panel DigiPak featuring a time-line of momentous Barbra events during the time frame of the specials, a 65-page booklet with incredibly detailed liner notes and packed with glorious period photos.

The specials will be packaged as a 5-Disc box set and will contain:

My Name is Barbra introduction filmed for 80s release of show on VHS

The Barbra Archives can reveal that "My Name", "Color Me", and "Happening" will contain the original introductions that Barbra filmed for their initial release on VHS in the 80's.
