“Lights On—Carnegie” Fight for Sight Benefit

Sometime in January of 1963 (the exact date is unknown), Barbra Streisand joined Carol Burnett, Sammy Davis and other performers at a benefit show called “Lights On” for Fight for Sight. Earl Wilson's January 18, 1963 column confirms Streisand's participation.

Fight for Sight was founded in 1946 by Brooklyn native, Mildred Weisenfeld. The organization conducted research into the causes and cures of vision diseases and disorders.
