Sometime in January of 1963 (the exact date venue are unknown), Barbra Streisand joined Carol Burnett, Sammy Davis and other performers at a benefit show called “Lights On” for Fight for Sight.
Fight for Sight was founded in 1946 by Brooklyn native, Mildred Weisenfeld. The organization conducted research into the causes and cures of vision diseases and disorders.
