Hollywood Bowl
Los Angeles, California
Oct. 5, 1963

Concerts, Inc. in association with The House of Sight and Sound put together a triple-header for the evening of October 5th at the Hollywood Bowl: The Dave Brubeck Quartet opened the evening of music; Streisand followed; and Sammy Davis, Jr. closed the show.

Barbra taped her appearance on The Judy Garland Show the day before giving this concert. Graland's show was broadcast the day after this concert.

(Above) Streisand's sailor top, which she wore at the Ambassador and also at the Bowl, was designed by one of Hollywood's best costume designers, Donfeld.

Donfeld was a four-time Academy Award nominee who worked with Bette Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Ann-Margret, and Natalie Wood.

Donfeld's original costume sketch is seen above. The sailor top was auctioned by Julien Entertainment in 2004.
