Show Magazine: February 1963
[Editor's Note: In the 1963 Valentine's Day issue of Show Magazine, some musical celebrities appeared in a layout entitled "Singing Valentines". Each picture was accompanied by a Valentine's verse. Barbra Streisand's verse went like this:]
Roses are red,
Cardiograms are blue,
I'm Barbra Streisand, * Nu: an indefinable word described by eminent Central European scholars as a mixture of assertion, Weltschmerz and wonder. Miss Streisand, new star of Broadway and supper clubs, here uses it to mean Happy Valentine's Day.
